Why store with nitrogen

Nitrogen is an inert and dry gas that, when introduced into the silo, reduces oxygen concentration below the threshold necessary for the survival of insects, molds, and spores. This protective environment:

Engineering approach to storage

What is a controlled atmosphere storage system with nitrogen?

It is a system that eliminates oxygen inside silos by replacing it with nitrogen separated directly from the air, thus preventing oxidation of the stored product, insect development, and fungal growth, extending storage life.

All major agricultural products and derivatives can be stored in a nitrogen atmosphere, including:

  • all types of cereals (wheat, corn, rice, barley, oats, etc.);
  • oilseeds (soy, rapeseed, sunflower, etc.);
  • legumes (beans, chickpeas, peas, lentils);
  • flours and semolina;
  • green and roasted coffee;
  • sugar and saccharified products;
  • dried fruit;
  • spices and dried herbs;
